3 Quick Questions on System Builder Program

Milestone Systems announced the new System Builder Program at the annual Americas Milestone Community Days (MIPS) event in Las Vegas. We took the opportunity to ask Henrik Sydbo Hansen, Head of Devices and Integrations at Milestone Systems, about the program.

Q: What is the System Builder Program?

A: Henrik Sydbo: The new program gives hardware partners the opportunity to pre-load the Milestone XProtect Essential+ video management software (VMS) platform on their hardware offerings. The purpose of the program is to offer a new and more diverse way to combine XProtect VMS and third-party hardware. Customers will benefit from the greater choice of bundled solutions, and hardware that is optimized to work perfectly with the Milestone XProtect software platform.

Q: How will the program benefit the Milestone community?

A: Henrik Sydbo: In XProtect 2018 Essential+ the new installer enables customers to easily upgrade with more channels and/or upgrade the version all the way up to our top-of-the-line XProtect Corporate. This creates a great opportunity for channel partners to leverage collaboration with the System Builder partners who only sell their hardware. Solution Partners also have rich prospects since the Essential+ version has full support of the Software Development Kit (SDK) for integrating third-party value-adding components.

Q: How does a partner sign up for the program?

A: Henrik Sydbo: Right now it is just a matter of sending me a mail – hsha@MILESTONE.DK.
