Milestone Systems will hold its Milestone Partner Open Platform (MPOP) event for the first time in Latin America next week. This gathering brings together the company’s business partner community to share the main advances and trends in video technology with exhibitions, presentations and networking. About 100 professionals will be attending the sold-out space, including system integrators, distributors, alliance solution partners and media.
MPOP Mexico 2018 will educate with a series of specialized talks, which will focus on the rise of artificial intelligence, machine and deep learning through video analytics.

Automated machine learning is gaining a larger role in intelligent video solutions. With the Internet of Things (IoT), many devices are now sensors being connected in new ways, the amount of data continues to expand. This requires more efficient ways of translating that data into useful intelligence to make faster decisions that make the world a safer place and enable us to improve commercial video systems.
A High-Level Agenda
Manuel Zamudio, Manager of Industrial Associations for the Northern Regions of Latin America and the Caribbean for Axis Communications, will talk about the trends that are taking us toward the creation of an intelligent world. Other prominent speakers are Milestone executives Tim Palmquist, Mike Sherwood, and Juan Carlos George who will share their knowledge about the field of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and integrated video systems.
One of the purposes of holding the MPOP events is to show attendees newly implemented and future Milestone technologies. – Edgardo López, Engineering Manager for Milestone Systems in Latin America, who will also give a couple of talks about the company’s latest solutions and the Systems Builder Program with important industry partners.
During the two-day event, participants can explore a technology exhibition presenting these alliance partners’ latest products: Axis Communications’ network cameras and radar detectors; BCDvideo storage solutions; AllGoVision analytics; BriefCam fast video synopsis; Hanwha cameras, CDVI access control, Agent Video Intelligence (Agent Vi) analytics; and Neural Labs LPR and container ID recognition.
