An exciting hub for innovation and community-based projects has now been launched at the newly-opened Milestone Australia/New Zealand headquarters in Melbourne. Dubbed the Experience Centre, the interactive space will allow integrators, consultants and end-users to realise the full potential of their security vision, by designing, planning and building their unique solution all in one place.
Partners initially include Ipsotek, Imagus, Dell EMC, Inner Range, Axis Communications, Mobotix, Promise Technology, Allied Telesis and Hikvision. Each partner has a ‘hub’ in the Experience Centre to add their company’s fully-integrated element to the solution in real-time, whereby visiting end-users or integrators can see on the interactive screens how the solution will work.
The idea is that you can see first-hand how different components of a solution will operate together, and how they will look. Decide you want different cameras? There are several vendors to choose from, with each camera offering different values and functionality. Want to see how analytics or Facial Recognition might look? Add it to the mix, take it out again, put in different elements. It is a true community venture, which will save stakeholders time, effort and capital, as well as provide secure solutions that are mature, part of a fully-integrated ecosystem and hardened against cyber threats. – Jordan Cullis, Country Manager South Pacific, Milestone Systems
The Experience Centre innovation is a significant step towards fully capitalising on the market in the Australia/New Zealand region, and follows a period of investment and restructure for Milestone. In the past year the regional team has grown: Angelo Salvatore has moved into the new role of Regional Channel Director for APAC, Jordan Cullis was hired as Country Manager South Pacific, and the new headquarters has opened in Melbourne, the largest space in Australia devoted to Video Management Software.
“Milestone has made a global decision to reinvest 45 percent of our turnover back into innovation. Initiatives like the Experience Centre in Australia reflect that commitment, and give us the drive and opportunity to keep expanding our work with partners as technologies evolve and the industry continues to expand and mature,” said Kenneth Hune Petersen, CSMO, Milestone Systems.
“It is exciting to be a part of the Milestone Experience Centre; it gives us a great opportunity to showcase our product using Milestone’s platform,” said Fraser Larcombe, Imagus.
It is an ideal working environment for us, because in analytics, so often what we are showing is not live, but has been pre-recorded. In this new Milestone Experience Centre we can demonstrate our product effectively in real time. We can show live analytics, facial recognition, etc. in a strong collaborative environment. Another nice thing is that it is a unique relationship, whereby we bring opportunities to Milestone, and Milestone brings opportunities to us. – David Howarth, Ipsotek
“As a company focused on digital transformation, IT transformation, security transformation and workforce transformation, one of the key things for customers to transform digitally is the global ecosystem technology partnership between Dell EMC and Milestone,” stated Manu Shankar, Dell EMC.
“The Experience Centre is about expanding the level of knowledge and the reach that we have to deliver on our brand promise of open platform solutions,” added Milestone’s Angelo Salvatore.
Daniel Penno, Allied Telesis concluded: “It is great to be a part of the Milestone ecosystem!”
