Security Industry Association Nominates Milestone’s VP Tim Palmquist to SIA Board

The Security Industry Association (SIA) is the leading U.S. trade association for security solution providers, with over 1,000 innovative member companies representing thousands of industry leaders and experts who shape the future of the security sector.

SIA is a central catalyst for success within the security industry through information, insight and influence. Their analyses, reports and publications, market research, webinars, briefings and guides provide critical resources, including the SIA Wage and Benefits Benchmarking Study and annual industry TRENDS. An important component of member support is SIA’s relations with government and other national and local entities on Standards, Education & Certification, Events and Networking.

Nominations for new members to the SIA Board of Directors for 2020 were announced in February and ratified in the organization’s annual meeting on March 17th:

  • Tim Palmquist, VP of Milestone Systems Americas
  • Jonathan Aguila, Director Systems and Technology for Facebook – Global Security
  • Stacy Deveraux, President Electromechanical Solutions Group at ASSA ABLOY
  • Mike Mathes, Executive Vice President at Convergint Technologies
  • Erica McBride-Rapp, Logistics Manager for Allegion

Tim Palmquist has 25 years of experience in the technology industry. This generated perspectives that range across IT and IP video from the early adopter days through today. He joined Milestone Systems in 2007 and has navigated the growth of Milestone through sales, operations and leadership roles. Tim was promoted to Vice President, Americas, in 2012.

Since then Tim Palmquist has actively taken part in speakership opportunities with PSA Security, the Great Conversation, ISC West and ISC East, Securing New Ground (SNG) and other industry gatherings. He is passionate about driving the opportunities of the Milestone open platform business model, believing that customers are best served by the innovations of a strong partner community working in cooperation together.
