The State of the Video Surveillance Industry

Executives from leading video surveillance hardware manufacturers discussed the state of the industry at MIPS 2015.

At the annual Milestone Integration Platform Symposium (MIPS) held last week in Las Vegas, executives from some of the largest video surveillance hardware manufacturers took part in a panel discussion focused on the state of the industry.

Among those on the panel included; Scott Schafer, executive vice president of sales and marketing, Arecont Vision; Tom Cook, vice president of sales, Samsung; Brian Wiser, president of sales, Americas, Bosch; Masahiro (Matt) Soga, senior vice president of business development, Sony; and Fredrik Nilsson, general manager, Axis Communications. The topics discussed ranged from how companies are differentiating products in a crowded marketplace to eroding IP product margins for systems integrators.
